Traffic wardens still top of the hit list for van drivers

Nearly a quarter of van drivers (24 per cent) voted traffic wardens the most irritating people on the roads according to the findings of a recent poll by Budget Van Insurance. This is hardly surprising when 14 per cent of van drivers admitted to receiving 2-5 parking tickets each year due to the nature of their work.

The findings also found van drivers (25 per cent) are becoming increasingly concerned with rising petrol prices, with the average price of unleaded petrol reaching £1 a litre. Traffic jams followed with 17 per cent and late paying customers seven per cent.

Lisa Corston, Budget Van Insurance says:
“With so many van drivers often having to stop illegally for delivery purposes it is hardly surprising they are not traffic wardens number one fans. The most important thing to remember is that every one of us is trying to go about our every day tasks and to keep calm in those queues!”
