Hi-Q Installations from Poole voted Britain’s 'Tradesman of the Year'!

Hi-Q Installations, a window, door and conservatory specialist from Poole in Dorset, has today been named as Britain’s top tradesman in a competition sponsored by Budget Van Insurance. The lucky owner, John Chaloner, scoops the top prize of £2,000 cash and a year’s membership to Checkatrade* - the consumer information service that offers the public, recommended, vetted and monitored trades - as well as the coveted title of ‘Tradesman of the Year 2009’.

The competition was created to champion the skills of Britain’s hard working tradesmen and women. Budget Van Insurance scoured the UK in search of Britain’s ‘Tradesman of the Year’. The finalists were whittled down after sifting through all the entrants and assessing the quantity and quality of customer satisfaction, obtained from feedback on the ‘tradesman of the year’ website.

Hi-Q Installations managed to beat tough competition from the two runners up: Wayne de Wet, a decorator from Norfolk, and Shutterly Fabulous, a shutter specialist from Hove in East Sussex, who both walk away with £250 cash, and a year’s membership to Checkatrade.

Amongst the feedback received on Hi-Q Installations, customers commented: “Workmanship and value for money were both outstanding”,”Unusual attention to detail and willingness to ensure satisfaction” and "He’s prompt, reliable, kind, trustworthy and honest. We would recommend him to anyone."
