Fun Stuff

Here’s a little taster of the fun stuff we’ve been up to:

BUDGET Van was launched in January 2006 and in that same year we won Insurance Times’ Marketing Campaign of the Year with our laddish humour and van man clichés – we were proper chuffed about it too.

Fancy getting into a lather with Budget Van Insurance’s beautiful van wash babes? Then bring your van to Jewson, Bell Road, Daneshill East, Basingstoke, RG24 8PY on Tuesday, August 19th. Our team of stunning, scantily-clad models will give your van a quick wash and rub down to make you the cleanest king of the road! Come along anytime from 8am to 12noon for this unique and FREE* van wash – designed to send you to work with a smile!
*(Optional donations can be made on the day to Budget Van Insurance’s official charity, the NSPCC).

Throughout most of this time we’ve been in cahoots with the funny men on talkSPORT radio, Hawksbee & Jacobs – a show any self respecting van man never misses. Their wacky brand of humour and style of competition are just the sort of things we love. Keep up the good work boys!

We thought it’d be a bit of a laugh to embrace the public’s opinion of what a van man is by creating an Etiquette Guide to help you ‘dazzle’ polite society with posh manners. And because we know you love a decent pair, the first 100 people who sent in the coupon from the Etiquette Guide received a fine pair of sturdy braces to keep your builder’s bum in check. Download your copy of the Etiquette Guide!

In 2007 you may have seen our Calendar where we teamed up with the News of the World to bring you 12 tip top totties from around the UK. You couldn’t get enough of them so we did it again for 2008! You can still grab yourself a copy by clicking the link on the right.

In the same year we made an online game, Revenge of the Van Man, where we created the perfect antidote for all you drivers who have ever had a run in with a traffic warden to vent your frustration. Click to play.

In 2008 you saw our Tradesman of the Year competition. We gave one lucky winner a whopping £2,000 and 2 runners up got £250 for being some of the top tradesman or women in the UK – in our opinion, obviously!
